Harmony Blue

Acrylic on cardboard
24”x36”

My work expresses urban chaos and harmony, our deep emotions evoked in displacement and shared experiences in cities. While living in a big city, I can’t ignore the materials we consume and discard daily. Therefore, as an artist, I believe I can help change the future, one step at a time, by reusing materials. I use recycled cardboard boxes for painting and installation, transforming the material to a new life, new value, and meaning in my artwork. It is time to pay attention to the vulnerability of our environment and the identity of home.

This painting is exhibited in the Fulton Center subway station in New York City, NY. I am sharing my vision of urban harmony and color with people who use the subway and the public space.
